The concept of the Client Nation to God began with Israel, that being the weighty responsibility of representing God on
earth in both national function and spiritual matters, the latter being the objective from the Divine perspective. God's
highest priority is always the dissemination of the gospel message to unbelievers world wide, and within the national
entity, the spiritual growth of believers in the study of His Word.
The Client Nation is the bulwark of Divine grace and blessing in a lost and dying world. As the vehicle for this Divine
thrust God gives His client freedom and prosperity, amoung many other tershiary priviledges and advantages. But along
with the perks that attend this great honor, the Client Nation is obligated to abide by the provisions of their contract,
or covenant, with God.
These principles in view, it is more easily understood that a Client Nation which falls into degeneracy comes under the
indictment of God's Justice and suffers horrendous disaster. My pastor has compiled a doctrine from the historical and
Biblical accounts of past clients which he calls "the 5 cycles of discipline". The first victim of this terrible fate
was the first client, Israel, and in the following paragraphs I will clarify the nature of each cycle and what becomes
of a nation that fails to heed God's warning and correct it's course.
But before I delve into this subject I should explain that with the administration of the 5th cycle to Israel, which is
utter defeat in war and invasion by a powerful enemy, only gentile nations qualify as Client Nations. This Divine law
will remain in effect until the 2nd Advent, at which time Israel will be restored as Client Nation and remain in that
status forever.
In the mean time, many gentile nations have bourne the onus of Cleint Nationhood, risen to great prosperity and power,
only to fall to the same dismal fate as their original predecessor. The first was Rome, which assumed the status of
client with the fall of Judea in 70 AD. Since then there have been many others, including Spain, Germany, England, France,
and the latest, The United States of America.
The qualifications for Client Nation status are always the same; A strong economy, a powerful military, and a government
committed to the principle of freedom. There must be widespread positive volition toward God and a vigorous cadre of
devoted teachers who study God's Word in the original languages and teach it frequently to their congregations in the
environment of the local, nondenominational church. And there is one other qualification; The Client Nation must be a
haven for the Jews. God always provides for Israel, a principle made clear in His covenant with Abraham when He said;
"Those who bless you I will bless, and those that curse you I will curse." Anti-sematism is a virulent evil which God
never fails to punish harshly.
Just so, the fall of Client Nations always takes on identical charactaristics, for it is the unfortunate predelection of
human kind to fall prey to their own weakness and corruption over the generations. Inevitably, those nations which
begin, as ours did, with a generation of noble and brave individuals who risk all to gain freedom, always end with
a generation whose apathy and licentiouness begs their own destruction.
It pains me to report that this once great nation is now under indictment, currently in the 2nd cycle, and unless
we heed God's stern warnings, we will suffer that same fate as all those who have gone before. Incidentally, you may
be wondering why France, England and Spain have not been subject to the tyranny of an invading enemy...the answer is;
They were bailed out by this great Client Nation. Had it not been for America, they would be swealtering under the
iron fist of slavery at this moment. I should also point out that every single one of these nations succumed to
anti-semetism, which explains why they were disqualified as clients while they yet maintained the other national
requisites (excepting a freedom-oriented government).
Spain persecuted the Jews under the auspices of Torquemada. France did the same when the king evoked the Edict of Nance,
which led to the depletion of the middle class in France, whence the Hugeunots fled to a small, as yet obscure nation called
Brandenburg of Prussia, later to become the nation of Germany. The intense suffering which befell the many nations
of Europe in WWII, such as Poland, Chzechoslavakia, Germany, France, et al, was directly related to the anti-sematism
promise of God.
As for Germany, they were fortunate to be conquered by a righteous and upright people who forgave their depredations
and even helped rebuild their ravaged nation. Not all are so lucky, as we will soon see. Other clients in recent
times were far less fortunate, such as China, which enjoyed client status only briefly.
The Bible is, in many cases, a book of "patterns", profiles established by God for the enlightenment and growth
of believers in later generations. Abraham serves as our "pattern" for salvation, as stated in numerous versions.
He "believed in Jehovah and it was credited to his account for righteousness..". He is also the pattern for a "Friend
of God", which is the loftiest of spiritual attainments.
This pattern principle also works in the negative, for the Client Nation principles we will study here are all derived
from Israeli history, and that which came to pass in Isreal will surely happen to us, for Israel is the first client in
history, and as such, serves as the pattern for all that follow.
Following the Age of Israel, that period of history when five different nations of Jews occupied center stage in the Plan
of God, only gentile nations are Client Nations. That period we find our selves in at this moment, and until the ocurrance
of the Rapture of the Church, is the "times of the gentiles". As such, with our Client Nation status, we are subject to
the very same laws and provisions of the Divine contract which existed between God and the Jews. It further means that
our destiny as a nation, should we follow the path of destruction that all five Jewish nations did, is a grim and
forbidding tale to tell, indeed.
Note that each cycle of discipline is marked by an increase "seven times" more severe in punishment.
The First Cycle: (Leviticus 26:14-17)
"But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall
[reject] my statutes, or if your soul [disdain] my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that
ye break my covenant:" (Lev 26:14,15)
The "commandments and statutes" mentioned in this passage are written in three distinct sections of the Bibile;
The Decalogue, The Jusdgements and The Ordinances;
"The Decalogue", or the Ten Commandments as they are called, establish those facets of our personal lives which
pertain to freedom. As mentioned, God always establishes an environment of liberty in the Client Nation, and these
10 principles all refer to aspects of freedom, those being the "four pillars"; Life, Property, Morality and Privacy.
As individuals, every citizen of a Client Nation is responsible to do their part in maintaining and perpetuating
their freedom. This applies to Christian and non-Christian alike. Please note that there are no mandates in this
code which make spiritual demand upon the unbeliever. Christianity has NO RIGHT to impose religion on anyone who
does not wish it!
The second body of scripture which defines freedom is "The Judgements". These verses establish Divine laws concerning
marriage, criminal law, taxation, military policy, diet, health, sanitatation, quarantine, free enterprise, and profit
motivation. Here is the governmental function in a Client Nation, and once again, applying to ALL citizens.
The final concept applies only to Christians. Keep in mind, while the blessing of freedom and prosperity flow out
to all residents within a Client Nation, the Divine objective in creating a stong and resiliant client is to serve the
purpose of His plan; spread the gospel and encourage the teaching of His Word. Thus, Christians have an extended set
of Divine mandates which apply only to them; These are called in theology "The Ordinances". These tenets will be covered
in the following paragraphs.
"I also will do this unto you; I will even [bring you sudden] terror, [epidemics], and the burning
[fever], that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your
enemies shall eat it." (Lev 26:16)
The first aspects of the 1st Cycle of Discipline is called here "sudden terror", which alludes to rampant criminality,
being set upon by a violent criminal by surprise, unexpectedly. This malaise would obviously imply the malfunction of
jurisprudence, permissiveness in the courtroom, leniency on crimnals, hamstringing law enforcement. Sound familiar?
There is also widespread diseases and many who go hungry because our produce is traded away instead to foreign nations,
the price of food is extravagant and even the middle classes struggle to buy food.
"And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you
shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you." (Lev 26:17)
The second installment of this 1st Cycle is military disaster, such as we have suffered in Korea and Viet Nam. Notice
that the client who endures this penalty becomes paranoid, and jumps into conflict too quickly without examining
all the facts, or for purely political reasons. Sound familiar? Like The Gulf War? Viet Nam? "Reigning over you" is
defeat in battle, and "fleeing" includes all aspects of entering into conflict without good cause, as well as
military maneauvers brought about by imagined dangers.
The Second Cycle: (Leviticus 26:18-20)
"And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more
for your sins. And I will break the [arrogance] of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth
as brass: And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall
the trees of the land yield their fruits." (Lev 26:18-20)
Things start to get really serious in the 2nd Cycle, which would appear to be where we, the United States, find ourselves
at this moment...failure to heed God's "mild" warnings in the 1st Cycle will bring about discipline seven times worse;
Trends of history that are even now taking ominous shape in our country.
Involved here are three distinct dangers; Neutralizing the influence of our government in foreign capitols, economic
depression and drought. But there is more than meets the eye in this admonishment; Although we have yet to see an
economic distaster, or a serious drought, the first sign of this 2nd Cycle is well upon us, the waning of America's
influence overseas. In fact, articles in just the past few days have involved this very subject. Germany, and several
other European nations, have banned together to form a power bloc which would operate independently of Washington D.C.
There is also rumor that they will be devaluing the dollar in order to boost their Euro-dollars.
In much of the world the alienation which has come of an arrogant U.S. government is complete. The Arab nations, China,
the Balkans, the Phillipeans, and many other nations have had a belly full of America's moralistic dictates. One recent
example, the most egregious, was the fiasco in Somalia, a scenario which cast us in the role of their saviors, but ended
in violence and death when Washington tried to force the local bad guys to stop trafficking in drugs.
Even those nations which profess to be our allies despise us. Their allegiance is little more than lip service designed
to keep the billions of foreign aid dollars flowing. This, then, is the basis of the waning support we now have in the
world, the "friendship" of nations that our money pays handsomely for.
Is there any doubt in any but the most naive mind in America that every country in the world, with the possible exception
of Britain, would turn on us in a heart beat if we fail to pay for their continued "friendship"? Alas, the Divine warning
that the "arrogance of our power will be broken" is already in the advanced stages.
I alluded to the fact that not all in this forewarning is readily visible; In that I refer to the arrogance of which this
verse speaks, not in foreign capitols, but here at home. Remember, the Client Nation is under contract to God to adhere to
His laws of feedom, and our government, in this year of 2001, has departed drastically from the role as High Protector of
our liberties. There is abuse of power at every turn, in every undertaking that our corrupt government partakes. Office
holders at the highest levels are guilty of white collar crime and every descritption of covert dirty tricks. Bloated
government agencies, made up of appointed, not elected officials, impose hundreds of insane rules (not laws, enacted by
our legislature!) which confiscate private property, cripple free enterprise, deny American citizens due process, and all
manner of gross abuses of power.
Our local, state and federal governments have passed laws which deny us free choice in many aspects of our lives; smoking,
gun ownership, automobile safety, mandatory auto insurance, and tax gouging. Laws are taking more and more control of our
families, snooping on our treatment of our children, dictating educational policy, redistribution of wealth to "minority"
businesses and individuals, quota minority priviledges, and many more distortions of our laws.
This is but a brief summary of the deperate state of affairs, seen through God's eyes, which have striken our nation.
As for economic and agricultural disaster; These are exigencies that have yet to happen, but count on it, we will see them
come to pass in the future....maybe next month, or maybe next year, no one can say. But they will come, as the Word of God
alerts us to this certainty.
The Third Cycle: (Leviticus 26:21-22)
"And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you
according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your
cattle, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate." (Lev 26:21-22)
The 3rd cycle is charactarized by a terrible outbreak of disease and the onslaught of "wild beasts". The latter is
a reference to rampant criminality, and it is significant that our children will suffer greatly from this increase
in crime. We can assume that a prevalent type of crime in this phase of national decline is child abuse, sexual crimes
against children, kidnapping, and similar criminal acts which prey on children. The reference to "cattle" is updated to
our day to mean wealth, or financial security. Cattle in the ancient world represented affluence. The econcomic woes
of the 2nd cycle will intensify.
As for our highways being deserted, in the ancient world the primary source of commerce (imports and exports) was the
system of roads. God is refering to a deepening economic depression which involves our foreign trade as well as
the domestic economy.
The Fourth Cycle: (Leviticus 26:23-26)
"And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then
will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will bring a sword
upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I
will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. And when I have broken
the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again
by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied." (Lev 26:22-26)
In the 4th cycle the blight on the land will drive people from the rural areas to our cities in search of jobs. The
drought will have destroyed their livlihood, and they will be starving. The overcrowded conditions in our urban centers,
combined with the already desperate situation economically, will bring about the interruption of basic services...garbage
collection, sewer, water and perhaps even electricity. These unsanitary conditions will give rise to disease, already
at epidemic proportions.
We can conclude, logically, that overtaxed medical facilities will not be able to stem the tide. Thousands will die of
disease and starvation. The existing conditions from the previous cycles, virulent crime and the heavy hand of governmental
interference, will also become more prevalent.
Our ematiated military will be defeated in battle, "delivered into the hand of the enemy". This is an ominous development
which is only alluded to indirectly. America will be engaged in war, apparently because a shrewd enemy has determined (and
correctly) that our weakened state has eroded the will to fight, and impaired the systems of logistics which are so vital
to supporting troops in the field.
The recent administration has effectively laid waste to our military establishment already, another facet of "breaking the
arrogance of our power". Those Americans who are not well versed in military matters may not be aware of this tragic
state of affairs, but those of us who are familiar with this aspect of our national posture have been keen in this regard
for several years. For eight years the Clintonians waged an unrelenting campaign, on several fronts, to hamstring our
military.
While an apathetic populace has nonchalantly attended to their mundane affairs, the Clinton machine has presided over the
wholesale closing of military facilties and bases, mothballing warships, slashing funds for updated weapons systems and
hardware, freezing pay levels, "riffing" forces until our manpower is at critical levels, and perhaps worst of all, the
negative psychological impact of forcing our services to accomodate women and homosexuals.
Inadequate appropriations for military spending has resulted in the deterioration of our bases to the point that one
old friend of mine wrote to tell me that enlisted housing on every base he has visited is a virtual ghetto. Rooves and
siding in desperate need of repair, ruptured or broken plumbing spewing sewage into the streets and even homes, streets
decayed with huge potholes from curb to curb...you get the picture.
The same friend I spoke of a moment ago also told me that we don't have enough surplus ammunition to conduct field
exercises. Tanks fire rounds modified to save our sparse supply and preserve the inadequate stores of our "tsavo" rounds
for a real war. This man, who serves in a division "G4" (supply), estimates that we will have no small arms ammo or
tank ammo after just two weeks of fighting.
Our Air Force and Navy air are flying patched up aircraft with outdated electronics and not enough parts to keep them
in the air. While even the French and Russians have state of the art new fighters and bombers, America's airpower is
dilapidated and inferior.
Moral is so low in our armed forces that the USAF had to freeze the release of pilots from service last year. Why?
Because the ratio of flyers getting out, and new ones enlisting, is so lopsided that we don't have enough men to
maintain even emegency manpower levels on our SAC and TAC bases! If the balloon goes up tomorrow, friends, thousands
of fighters and bombers will be sitting idle because we don't have the crews to fly them, even WITH women in the
cockpit!
Handpicked general staff now man the Pentagon, chosen for their political rather than martial qualifications. The
aformentioned social engineering, and the radical revision of battle strategy, has resulted in an unprecendented
migration of our best and most courageous field grade officers who have read the handwritting on the wall. Their
beliefs in conventional (and effective) military discipline and training threatened to stall their careers, and
many got out because they refused to command units that will be salughtered in a shooting war.
The insistance on "racial and gender sensative policy" has so crippled the commander's ability to lead that only
the most foolhardy officers have remained in sevice. If an officer gets a DWI while on liberty in town a sanction
is placed permanently on his record, and will discourage his promotion. The men in infantry units are challenged to
take up the slack for their female counterparts, whose insufficient body strength prevents them from even the most
basic solderly functions, such as carrying a 50 pound field pack into battle while also carrying a rifle and a
cartridge belt loaded with ammo and grenades. Carrying a wounded man to safety, running over a 100 or 200 yards with
160 to 200 pounds slung over one shoulder, is beyond the limitations of most women. While one cannot question their
valor or devotion to their comrades, the rule applies; Any unit is only as strong as the sum of its' members. The
detrimental effect of this weakness will only be fully realized when the first casualty reports come in the next time
we have a war. But one thing is certain, many a brave soldier will die trying to protect a woman in combat.
Don't believe me perhaps?
Did it strike you or your friends as odd that we used reserves almost exclusively in the gulf war? The horrible truth is
that even during the Bush administration the wheels of government were already turning, "downsizing" our military,
supposedly because there is no more threat from Russia, and the cold war is over. The Clinton years have finished the job.
Today we are naked in a dangerous world, and our enemies are growing stronger by the day, even as we grow weaker. Well,
the Bible has something interesting to say, on the subject of historical trends, that we will examine before I conclude
here. In short, mankind will be embroiled in war until the 2nd Advent of Christ and the final war in history, Armageddon.
Until that time, we are placing ourselves in great peril if we disarm and emasculate our military. Or, I should say, in
the past tense, we have ALREADY placed oursleves in great peril, and things are getting worse, not better.
This warning of conditions in the 4th cycle emphasize this reality; Our forces will be "delivered into the hand of the
enemy" in that time. Current conditions in our national defense have already prepared us for defeat.
The Fifth Cycle: (Leviticus 26:27-38)
"And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat." (Lev 16:27-29)
This horrible consequence actually happened to the Jews before he fall of Jerusalem, canabalism. Don't think
for a moment that we, the people of America, won't resort to the same desperate measures when we are starving!
The Jewish people of this time were highly civilized and cultured people, refined and affluent, well educated
by the standards of their day. If it happened to them, it will happen to us, and perhaps even sooner.
"And I will destroy your [alters], and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the
carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. And I will make your cities waste, and bring your [churches]
unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours." (Lev 26:30-31)
This is a direct reference to the apostacy of religion, and many are the similarities between the malfunctions of
the Jewish rituals and worship and the sorry state of America's religious institutions today. "The sweet odors"
refer to the rituals of the Levitical Priesthood that called for burning incense, a spiritual code (The Law) which
was set aside by the 1st Advent. Although some off-the-wall faiths literally worship idols in our society, and even
one or two worldwide denominations, such as the catholics, the majority of our mainstream religions are committing
the same heresy, for those same abominations which disgusted God in the time this scripture was written is practiced
today in the form of false doctrine, "program churches" which emphasize fellowship over the teaching of God's Word,
and the false gospel which declares that human works are neccesary to reach heaven.
I will dwell on this topic for a moment, for the beef God has with us, His Client Nation, is focused upon this single
factor. The primary reason for a nation coming under the curse of the 5th cycle, and the 4 preceding cylces, is the
departure of their believers from the true faith. As I stated earlier, the Client Nation is established upon Divine
standards, and those are intended for the blessing of all citizens, including unbelievers, but the core purpose of
a client to God is the carrying out of His plan for human history. What I'm saying here is that the life or death
of our nation rests solely upon our spiritual impetus. As long as our Christians are sharp, and focused upon the
system God has provided for our spiritual growth, the abberations of the other aspects of national life will be
overcome.
This principle is clearly stated in the scriptures that were written of Elijah;
"And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of
Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I,
even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. Yet I (God) have [preseved] seven thousand in Israel,
all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him." (1Kings 19:14,18)
In Elijah's time Israel came under widespread apostacy, so prevalent in fact that only 7,000 believers had not
sucuumed to the religion of Baal, a demon god if that time. Please note, Elijah panicked and assumed that there
wasn't even one other person in the land that was true to the faith. This should give you some idea how corrupt
the Jews had become. Yet, God informed him that there were 7,000 others, like himself, and those few were
sufficient to sustain the Client Nation status of Israel.
Things haven't changed, so far as this principle is concerned. The spiritual vitality of a nation is the determining
factor in its' survival.
On this score, my friends, our beloved country is rapidly approaching the point of no return. It takes little in way
of documentation, in addition to the abundant evidence already visible in our society, to make the point that our
society has become arrogant and apathetic, given to every possible corruption. But our survival doesn't depend on
our politicians, or our popular music, or our divorce statistics, or the rise of sexual licentiousness, etc. It
is in the hands of those who are believers in Jesus Christ, and we are dropping the ball!
"And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be
astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land
shall be desolate, and your cities waste." (Lev 26: 27-29)
So terrible will be the ravages of drought that the enemies that invade us will be appauled at what they see. We can
suppose that, say Chinese troops, would be expecting to see a fertile countryside, great cities, and a land which
reflects the images they have seen in print and on television over the years. But our country in that time will be
desolate, broken, dying.
Americans that survive will be scattered to the four winds, sent as slaves to other countries, to work camps or to serve
in some capacity under foreign masters. Others will flee by whatever means is available, north over the border into
Canada, or south into South America. Some may be fortunate enough to find passage on merchant ships, but all of those
who remain will be running for their lives to escape the onrush of our invaders, and their barbarism.
"Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies'
land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. Le:26:35: As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest;
because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it." (Lev 26: 34-35)
This passage refers to the tradition, established by God, that called for the Jews to rest every seven years from their
labors. They were not to till the land or produce crops in the "sabbath" year. But Israel ignored God in this matter and
failed to observe the sabbath year for 70 years. Thus, when they were taken into captivity by Nebauchadezer (586BC) they
remained slaves for 70 years, or the exact number of years they have not observed the sabbath year.
A side note; So many times in scripture God issues instructions to us that somehow take on some profound meaning when
they are nothing more than practical good sense. There's nothing sublime about them. The sabbath year of Israel is a
prime example of this. Apparently, the soil in the middle east contains alot of sand, which lends itself to excellent
water dispersion, but it lacks in the abundant mineral content that, say, our midwestern black dirt contains. To allow
the soil to recover from six years of farming God commanded the seventh year would be set aside to restore the fertility
of the land, much like the modern practice of crop rotation. Of itself, the failure of the Jews to follow God's
instructions in this matter was not a terrible crime, but there were spiritual overtones which were not flexible in
God's sight.
That seventh year, when the farmers were not producing crops, the land of Israel was expected to trust God to supply
them their needs. Thus, faith entered into the equation. Another tradition accompanied the sabbath year, called the
"Year of Jubilee". In that observance the people of the nation were forgiven their debts, particularly business owners
who had gone bankrupt for one reason or another. The cancellation of debt served a vital function, then, for people
who would otherwise swelter in a sea of debt were suddenly solvent. In the case of business owners, they had yet another
opportunity to right their shattered lives and make a fresh start.
It was this aspect of the sabbath which God punished, and it is noted that the servitude of the Jews under the rule
of the Chaldeans, which began in 586BC, lasted exactly 70 years. In 516BC the temple in Jerusalem was restored, under
the auspices of Zerububal, and the nation Israel was once again a Client Nation, and remained as such until the last
administration of the 5th cycle in 70AD.
Although we have no parallel in modern day America to the sabbath year and Jubilee, we do have parallel circumstances,
those being primarily economic, which can be interpreted to have the same negative effect on us that ignoring the
sabbath had on the Jews. I refer to the "polarization" of American enterprise, the growing trend in which mega-companies
are bankrupting small businesses, especially in our rural areas, small town America. Drive through any small town today,
gone are the "mom and pop" businesses that once thrived along main street. Shoe shops, hardware stores, the corner drug,
the auto repair shop, the insurance agent, the "five and dime" store. All of these, and more, have been undermined by
Walmart, Kmart, Home Depot, Handy Dan, Eckerd Drugs, etc., etc. Small businesses cannot afford to sell their wares at
such low prices, because they cannot afford to buy in such huge quantity, for which these gaints receive an enormous
discount from manufacturers and wholesalers.
I can't say that it is evil, or even an injustice, for these huge nationwide operations to do business, but they have
certainly destroyed a way of life for untold thousands of Americans, or at least altered the face of our country. I for
one would rather pay the higher prices and see our small towns yet vigorous, rather than what they are today...on any
given day there is traffic on the way through town, going somewhere else, but only a few that stop to support their local
businessmen, mostly bar owners. No mega-corp will ever find a way to make drinking beer a wholesale activity!
The calamities that will befall us, if things go this far, are almost too ghastly to comprehend, especially for a
pampered society that has never even witnessed the horrors of war, much less on our own soil, in our own neighborhoods,
in our own front yards. The tragedies which are described in these passages, and the remainder of Leviticus 26,
actually did bring Israel low some 1,000 years later. When the axe fell they were preaching from their pulpits, "Peace,
peace, when there is no peace", just as our ministers and citizens and politicans are saying today..."the cold war is
over". They use this as an excuse to justify disarming our nation and neutralizing our military might. In August of 70AD
the armies of Vespatian and Titus, his son, overran Jerusalem and the Client Nationhood of Israel came to a disasterous
end, never again to be renewed until the 2nd Advent.
But we cannot take umbrage in the fact that these are ancient pronouncements, or that these things befell a nation
almost 2,000 years ago. The words of scripture are breathed by God, and apply to all nations, all generations of man,
including The United States of America. Our prosperity is no guarantee of safety, to the contrary, it is a flatulant
condition which has brought our latest generations to apathy and immorality. We are balanced, at this very moment, upon
the lip of a bottomless chasm, and unless our people awaken from their slumber, we will topple and fall into a chaos
so profound we will likely never recover.
Those that are left alive after years of hunger and unthwarted disease, military invasion and barbarism, will live out
their lives in slavery, dressed in rags and sifting through the garbage of their masters for a morsel of rotten food.
That once glorious image of a great nation, prosperous and free, will be only a treasured memory that they dare not
utter, lest they be imprisoned and executed.
Does this seem too extreme to believe? Well, looking out my window at the people plying the streets, busy with their
lives, without a moment's pause to fret about where their next meal will come from, or whether they will survive to
see tomorrow...yes, it is difficult to imagine. But do not be persuaded that the American people are any less vulnerable
that the Jews of 70AD, nor any less guilty of the crimes against God that brought them to a pitiful end. Heed these words,
not from my mouth, but from the recorded words of The Most High...unless we get with the Divine program the same destiny
awaits us that the Jews suffered.
In conclusion, I want to make something clear about God, and the ocurrance of the disasters that are explained here. At
no time does God stretch out His hand and do these things to a dying nation, but rather it is His permissive will that is
involved, and of which He speaks when He says "I will do this", or "I will do that". You can study this subject, The
Will of God, in another section to better understand the nuances, but in a nutshell; God has the power to prevent disaster,
and does so every day while we are yet a client. But at some point He will not act in our behalf, and we will be left to
reap the bitter fruit of our own making.
Because His lack of action in our behalf allows the terrible things we have invited to happen, He says that He "does" these
things, but this is not the literal case. WE do them! Our failure to heed His warnings cause our destruction, not His
"anger". God doesn't get angry, nor does He commit any sin. He does not inflict us with suffering or calamity. But in
removing the restraints on disease and predatory enemies He allows us to get what we have asked for.
How do we avert the tidal wave that is closing fast, threatening our existance? Simple, and yet extremely difficult. Simple
in that we need only return to the system of theology which God institutued for our spritual growth, the local church
under the authority of a prepared pastor. You can find these principles in the sections "I.C.E.", and others. Our
growth in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, assimilating "The Mind of Christ" in our souls, is the only means of deliverance
from the disaster which looms ahead. Only the Christian armed with the Truth has not "bowed the knee th Baal", which in
our time represents the sweetness and light doctrines that encourage civil disobediance, speak out against capitol
punishment, claim that we must work for salvation, and many, many other false doctrines that mislead Christians and result
in their spiritual ignorance. We cannot endure this pitiful condition!
Difficult in the fact that religiosity breeds a form of arrogance which blinds the mind to truth. Christians are "sincere",
which doesn't mean a hill of beans on the battlefield of the angelic conflict. Ministers concentrate on bringing warm bodies
into their churches rather than teaching the Word of God. What they do teach is diluted with human viewpoint and outright
heresy. Christians are exhorted to practice leaglism, stick their noses into the lives of other believers. They teach
the importance of adjusting to other human beings, "loving everyone", and some preachers even have the congregation turn
to the person next to them and embrace as an expression of "love". Like so many other aspects of the true Christian life,
love is a legitimate and desirable virtue, but it is not intended to act as a reason to invade the privacy of the believer.
In the name of God, churches fairly overflow with "good", speaking out against the freedom of Americans by sponsoring
laws to take our firearms away, stop us from smoking, and many other practices that they deem as unhealthy or dangerous.
This is an affront to God, who establishes freedom, and maintains it, as the environment where the gospel and sound Bible
teaching can flourish. This is the true value of freedom, the spiritual life of a nation. So when so called "men of god"
support laws which deprive us of freedom, they are contributing to the destruction of the very venue in which they can
freely teach God's Word, and tyranny is the ultimate consequence.
True? You may ask. I only wish it were a pipe dream in the mind of a disgruntled old fart like myself. But it is not.
These facts are given to us as a solumn warning from God, Himself, and history will bear them out. Unless we get back on
track as Christians, every soul in this country 40 years old and younger will live to see these horrors come to pass,
perhaps they will come sooner...5, 10, 15 years. But they will come, make no mistake about it!
