It's all there in the Bible, what happens to a Client Nation that spurns God, their Benefactor. The Northern Kingdom of Israel, Sumaria, comes to mind. The words of their elected officials is echoed in the mouths of our own "leaders", or most of them..."Peace, peace, when there is no peace." The forces of darkness are Marshalled against us, and yet our own media, not to mention millions of Americans, slander our miliary operations at every turn. They paint a grim picture, even though our sacrifices have purchased liberty for two nations that formerly sweltered under the iron fist of tyranny. I submit that our enemy is not so dangerous as those in our midst who apparently despise their own country. Public opinion in this country has a profound effect on our policies, and that includes the effectiveness of our military. Civilians are in charge, and their insistence on putting political imperatives ahead of sound battlefield strategy is costing us lives and may even result in yet another shameful defeat. But the addle brained views of the far left regarding our involvement in conflict is a paltry misadventure compared to the factors which are destroying America from within. We were once a society that demanded morality in our entertainment, and in our elected officials. But our culture has nose dived into a stagnant swamp of immorality and corruption. I don't want to sound like Billy Sunday, "preaching sin", but there is no other vernacular so pertinent to our decline as a nation, and the worst is yet to come. The most severely effected are our youth. They have been plunged into a morass of drugs, sex, and rebellion against authority. Their culture encourages malcontent. Police officers are pigs, brutal, arrogant. Our schools are in a state of chaos. Music, movies, TV, and even many of magazines targeting teen agers, use vulgar language, exploit sex, and glorify the criminal. The home life of our children has played a major role in their dilemma. Over 50% of all parents divorce. Discipline is lax. Sloppy dress and long hair are tolerated, not to mention "piercing" the body so rings and tokens can be attached. Most parents are blissfully unaware of the shenanigans their kids are up to, including myself. My wife and I were blind sided by the nature of the youth culture today. We erroneously assumed things were much like they were when we were young. A serious mistake. God has been excluded from our public institutions. Law suits force officials and teachers to remove any display that even suggests any aspect of Christianity. Our children can't pray in school, and even the mention of God in the Pledge of Allegiance has been challenged. Our system of jurisprudence has been diluted with humanistic solutions for serious crimes, reform the criminal. Sentences are too lenient for serious crimes, and paroles are granted, even for murderers, after only a fraction of the time has been served. God commands that we execute criminals that are guilty of capitol crimes. But who cares what God expects of us any longer? Drug use is at epidemic proportions. We have barely stemmed the tide of illegal drugs coming into this country. Worst of all, our self-righteous convictions perpetuate laws that regulate morality, and those laws encourage organized crime. Any time we limit freedom there is a cost that is much higher than the problem we are supposedly addressing. Our military is a shambles, thanks to the former administration. Ask yourselves, why are we using mostly reserves in Iraq? Because we don't have the regulars to do the job. Under Clinton we decommissioned hundreds of war ships, closed scores of bases, kept the pay levels of our servicemen at post Vietnam levels, allowed our bases to deteriorate, and most tragically, base housing where our enlisted men must live have become literal ghettos. There are huge pot holes in the streets, raw sewage in the storm gutters, and quarters that are falling apart. Compare them to any large city ghetto and you'll have a pretty good idea what they are like. Even when I was in the service the second time (under Carter) we didn't have enough tank ammo to conduct simulated combat training. Our inventory of small arms ammo was at alarmingly low levels as well. Our vehicles sat useless without needed parts and no maintenance dollars. It's much worse today, although President Bush has started to turn things around. In Clinton's last days so many pilots were leaving the Air Force they had to extend enlistment involuntarily, and little wonder. Our men are STILL flying some aircraft used at the close of WWII! But most damaging of all was the moral crisis. Clinton allowed homosexuals to enlist and "come out of the closet", permitted women in combat zones, froze pay increases and instituted a system of bureaucratic leadership that discourages tough training and must recognize the "sensitive" issues of race and gender. The Tail Hook scandal led to the retirement of many of our best officers, from General on down. When General Krulak, Commandant of the Marine Corps, retired the last high ranking officer who subscribed to the warrior ethic left the service. Today the hierarchy at the Pentagon are politicians in uniform, with s few wonderful exceptions. Our toleration of the United Nations is a disgrace. Is it any secret that the vast majority of those delegates are anti-American? Yet we pay millions to maintain that present day Tower of Babel. So much evil emanates from that whore house that I refuse to devote the space I would need to detail it. Suffice it to say that they regularly do such insane things as placing Cuba in the predominate role on the Committee For Human Rights. Anyone that hasn't read the recently published book "Unrestricted Warfare", I encourage you to do so before it is pulled from the shelves. The Government has already tried to restrict for fear that it will impair relations with China. In that book, written by two North Korean colonels, the plan for the destruction of America is laid out in startling detail. Among other revelations; China is supporting Al Quida with weapons, intelligence, and funding. They were not only aware that 9/11 would take place, they helped plan it. In a very brief nutshell, the book goes on to lay out a strategy which calls for further attacks within our borders, undermining our economy, escalating anti-American propaganda, sponsoring drug traffic and working within our educational system to spread the poison of the socialist agenda. China is our dread enemy, with a standing Army of 9 million men, and a formidable nuclear arsenal. They are building the largest naval fleet in the world, including 12 "K" class nuclear subs which can launch the Russian "Squal" torpedo, a jet powered missile that travels in excess of 200 mph underwater. For those unschooled in military technology, our sonar sends back a "ping" which warns our ships of other vessels and their weapons, but that signal travels at a speed slower than the Squal. In other words, before we are warned of one of these weapons, which would enable our ships to employ evasive maneuvers, they will be blown out of the water. Our schools are a hotbed of liberal bias. Christianity is scorned, and the socialist mentality is predominant in most college faculties. Conservative interaction is not only discouraged, but forbidden on many campuses. Even in our grade schools the dominance of the federal agenda has resulted in a generation of illiterates. Perhaps most damning is the state of Christianity, the driving force which sustains a nation. Conservative Christians are deeply involved in useless windmill jousting, looking to politics to solve our moral dilemma. Crimes against free Americans are justified by crusaders against abortion, one of the biggest farces ever foisted on the American people. Too many of our churches are little more than lonely hearts clubs, and outlets for do gooder entertainment. They perpetuate the myth that we must seek Christian fellowship, but God emphasizes seeking a relationship with Him. We're in sorry shape friends, and the worst is yet to come. |
