In recent weeks I've encountered some considerable flak from religious types,
the latest a Catholic, which compels me to clarify a very important Bible
doctrine, one I should have included on this sight from scratch.
You see, religion is Satan's ace trump!
That's right! And this isn't a wacko, anti Christian indictment of religion.
I'm not one of the so called "Christian right", nor the opposite end of the
spectrum, whatever that is.
The vast majority of readers that are affiliated with some denomination will
read this and go off huffing and puffing. Fine. In fact, that is precisely the
effect that his majesty, the devil, intends; a dogma so cunning, laced with enough
holy stuff and smiles and good deeds, to suck vulnerable human beings into his
snare and render them "or de' combat", a casualty in the Angelic Conflict.
That is his objective, but it's how he accomplishes it that I want to explain.
Perhaps there's one soul that will read this with enough savvy about human nature
to glean what I'm going to tell you and be delivered from religion.
This is Satan's kingdom. It follows, logically and every other way, that everything
in his kingdom is under his influence to some extent. Certainly, it is possible to
elude his grasp, but that requires TRUTH! And that is in damned short supply these
days. Note I said TRUTH...obviously, Satan presents a plethora of concepts that he
claims are truth, one flavor that is custom tailored to dupe every religion, cult,
you name it. His worldly system is designed to decieve, and he has put thousands of
snares out there for every ecclectic turn of mind. That's why the Bible calls him
"the father of lies", the one who "blinds the nations".
But you say..."Consider all the 'good' in the world! Charities, churches, yada,
yada, yada".
Good, you say? Let me present you with a hypothetical situation;
You go in to buy a car. The salesman is crafty, he watches you park your old car and
waits until you select a new one to scope out. He now has an idea what the model and
price range of the car you're shopping for is. He approaches you, smiles, comments on
what a beautiful car you are looking at...blah, blah.
He has a plan...get daddy's head under the hood, where his interest lies, and talk about
horsepower, warranty, gas mileage....then get momma seated behind the wheel. She wants to
hear about the the upholstery, the electonic do-dads, color coordination, blah, blah.
Once he's sure of the car you want he insists you drive it. Why? Because you drove up in
a rusty old chevy with 260,000 miles on it. Even if you drive a plain vanilla compact it
will drive like a Cadillac, smell new, ride quiet....and all the more so because of the
contrast between your old beater and the new car.
Any questions about price, discounts, payments are defered by "let's write up the application
and get an appraisal on your trade in. That will give us some basis to give you a rock
bottom deal. But we can get you in this car today at a good price, let me assure you of that..
yada, yada".
The point is, even a cunning human being can pull the wool over our eyes, or influence us to
take some course of action, if not on a car lot, then somewhere in our lives. How much more
so the super-genius? Satan is the most powerful angel God created, and his power includes a
mentality about a thousand times more advanced than we are.
Add to this fact that he pre-exists mankind, how ever long we've been around, probably about
5,000 years. He has had all that time, with all of his brilliance, observing generation after
generation, to contrive his snares.
What is Good?
Is all "good" from God?
If we're doing good are we oppossing Satan?
What is Satan like, an ugly gargoyle with an evil leer?
Are all of his strategies sinsiter and dark?
I'd like to point out that the tree in the garden that God forbade our original parents to eat of
was the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Let me emphasize, good and evil, not
"good vs evil", "good or evil", but good and evil.
In other words, that tree introduced the world of two synonymous concepts to the mind of man, good and
evil. Not opposites, but related concepts.
All good is not from God!
How do I know? Because Satan, himself, declared his venue, his objective in defying God; to "be like
unto the Most High". What is the obvious conclusion here?
Satan is in the counterfeit good business!
The Truth about Religion
OK, if you're still with me, you probably agree that Satan is capable of conning us into doing almost
anything. Lert's look at religion.
What obvious strategy would you use to lure Christians into your baliwik, if you were Satan? Well, you
would integrate enough truth into the scenario to make it appear holy, from God. Baiting a mouse
with cheese is a good analogy. You put something on the trap that a mouse likes to eat, and unsuspecting
of any foul play, he gets nailed. Who can't outsmart a mouse, right?
Satan thinks "who can't fool a human?" in much the same way.
But how do we nail religion down? Really lay it bear and reveal it's true nature?
Look at the role religion plays in man's history, and future. No single institution has been so
controversial as religion. It was religion that brought on the dark ages, crusades to wipe out the
"infidel".
It was religion that crucified Jesus Christ! The San Hedron was the high council of the Levitical
Priesthood, they were the religious leaders of all Israel. Pilat actually wanted to let Jesus Christ
go free. He declared in public..."I find no guilt in this man..". Furthermore, he observed a ceremony,
washing his hands, that signified he would have no part in the persecution of Christ.
But the San Hedron applied political pressure on Pilat. The Romans wanted peace in Palestine, but there
was widespread unrest. Pilat needed the support of the Pharisees to control the rowdy element in Jewish
society, so he bowed to their wishes and sentenced Christ to die.
Religion will be the "Crimson Whore" of Revelation who will ally itself with the Beast, the anti-christ.
The church will become too ambitious, politically, and the Beast will destroy it.
Religion has persecuted and enslaved millions for profit. Cortez and Corondao both used their military might
to conquer the Inca and Maya, and put them into mines as slaves. Their objective was to send gold to Isabella,
which she accepted in the name of the church. Spain's state religion was Catholicism.
At home a man named Henri Torquemada, Isabella's cheif cardinal, imposed the most bloody and horrendous
campaign against a society that had ever existed up to that time, the Inquisition. Thousands of innocent
people, many of them Christians, were burned at the stake to "purify" them of their sins.
In early America the Puritans governed their colonies with cruel and inhumane rule, all based on religion.
They invented the "stocks" where sinners would be held by their heads and hands in public as a means
of humiliating them. The famous book "The Scarlet Letter" (an "A" for adulterer) depicted that era of
our history. Men and women were put to death for aduptery.
In Salem innocents were burned at the stake for "witchcraft", many of them guilty of no more than predicting
an event, or scaring animals away with their presence.
Forms of religion in the ancient world instituted the phallic cult, in which women were ravished on an altar
asa form of worship, children were sacrificed to "god". These practices go as far back as the ancient Greeks
of Homer's time.
Conclusion
Sure, there are good people in many churches, well meaning people. There are thousands of dedicated clerymen
who are kind and compassionate. But all these charactaristics are the spice to lure unsuspecting victims into
Satan's snare. Religious people would be mortified if someone suggest that they serve Satan.
The fact is, he is cunning enough to make us believe we serve God, when we don't.
