This is GREAT fun at a BBQ
Even for the CHICKEN!!!
A Chicken
I used a chicken that weighed 1/500th of a ton
A Beer
one for each chicken!!!
they don't like to share
Salt n Pepper

one teaspoon of each
Worcestershire Sauce
one teaspoon full
Liquid Crab Boil
two tablespoons full
Creole Seasoning
one teaspoon full
First
Preheat the grill to
low on the medium side
or
medium on the low side
everyone's grill is different ya know!
Then
For each chicken
Open one beer and DRINK half
Empty the rest of the beer into a suitable container
and stir in the rest of the ingredients
Pour this mixture back into the can!!!
Now, shove the can up the chicken!!!
Like this
Set it up on the grill and cover
Hint
Don't put the chicken directly over the coals/heat source,
if ya do,
the fat will drip down, flame, and you'll have
chicken before it's done.
Add some hickory, or other suitable BBQ wood chips
to add a touch of "smoked" flavor
Another Hint
This is what I like to do!!!
First of all, I use one of 'em 2 burner gas grills,
do what ya want,
take it for what it's worth and do what ya will.
I took an ol' roastin' pan,
one that was 'bout the same size as 1/2 the grill,
and drilled about 8-10, 3/8" holes in the lid.
I fill the roaster with soaked hickory chips
and fire up only one side of the grill.
You guessed it,
the roaster goes over the flame side.
Close the lid.
After a bit, that grill, well,
she'll start smokin' like when Dad
made flapjacks after he got one of those
new fangled 'lectic stoves!
Keeps the 'skeeters away ta boot.
After she starts a billowing,
turn the heat down a bit 'n let 'er smoke.
My grill has a lot of "ventalation" spaces/holes,
so, I find I can maintain more even heat,
while usein' less gas,
if I plug up some of those vents with tin foil.
{With this method,
cooking time for a regular size bird
is about 2 1/2 - 3 hours, for me at least.}
Let it cook till the chicken
GETS DRUNK !!!
about one hour
when its' juices run clear
I have also done this method with a turkey!
For the gobbler, I used one of those "king size" beers,
you know, the one from "Down Under"
ENJOY!!!
