There are a lot of games out there, and a lot of them are devoted to Anime. But rarely do we see one devoted to the series "Ahh Megami-sama!" (Oh My Goddess!), and even less devoted to Our Favorite bug-basher, Skuld. This site is devoted to two games. Well, One, really.
SkuldBug (by Yone). This was the coolest one (and the second one) I've played.

Skuld-sama's Bug Bashing. This was my first. I like the sound on this one better.
If you've been wondering, "Himitsu" means "Secret". Thought I'd point that out.

How to Play SkuldBug

(by Tween Waters)

Skuld's Bug Bashing!
When the game starts, you will see a window showing Skuld chasing and being chased around the room by Bugs.
Right about now, you should customize the game to how you feel comfortable. Here is an explanation of the menu bar.

Here's the Storyline! :::
There is a computer called Yggdrasil. This computer is always on, and constantly running a program called "Reality(tm)".
Skuld is the Youngest of three Sister Goddesses. She is in charge of maintaining the Yggdrasil Computer System.
One day...
Bugs started to appear from rifts in reality. Nobody knew why. Some speculate that Reality was badly programmed. Some say that they installed a bad operating system on the thing, and the bugs are a product of that. But for whatever reason, these bugs trickle through the lines of code, and manifest themselves in reality, as the following:
Bugs look like (And can easily be mistaken for) Bunny rabbits. However, they don't have bunny rabbit tails, nor do they have the normal amount of bunny rabbit feet. They have Ghost Tails, and 6 to 8 feet, like an Insect or Spider. This is how you can tell them apart from normal everyday cutsie-wootsie bunnie-wunnies.
Now, although these are games that involve potentially violent situations, I would like to stress that they really aren't. As you can see, when Skuld bashes a bug, it turns into a harmless puff of smoke. Even though the items appear to be hammers and ghost-spider-bunny confabulations, there is no bone breaking, no blood, no gore. Just cute Anime gameplay!

In the game, you can press F4 to switch between Window and Full Screen modes. In Window mode, you can also resize the playing area. The smaller you make it, the faster the game should run. To start the game, push the Space Key. The controls are as follows:

What ARE those bugs?
In the first level, you'll see a bunch of bugs. Although each one is a different one, they're all relatively the same type of orange jumping bug. You'll get a lot of these until you get to the end of the level. (You should expect only more, as in higher levels, they begin pouring out of the bug-rifts.)
At the end of the first level, you'll see your first ghost-bug. These bugs are blue in colour, and take many hits to get rid of. (Luckily there's only one at a time! ^_^ You can get a lot of points by hitting them multiple times in one swipe. Ghost bugs are capable of turning around, and following you!
When you beat the ghost bug, you'll proceed to level two. In this level, you'll meet your first skittery bug. These bugs skitter along the floor, and move kinda fast, so watch your feet. You can jump and land on these bugs with a well-timed hit.
The Ghost in level two is also a skittery one. It'll jump every now and then, but most of the time, it'll skitter across the floor like the other skittery bugs... It's pretty easy. Just back it into a corner...
There's no particularly NEW bug in Level Three... What there IS are holes that create about 7 bugs per second. So needless to say, things may most likely become pretty hectic...
The Ghost-bug in Level Three is like the First ghost-bug. This one moves faster. Try to keep it on one side of the screen.
In Level Four, you will get accustomed to more holes opening at once. And you thought life was hectic in Level three... Don't worry about it, however. In level Five, the bugs can turn around!
Also in level four, you'll meet a new kind of Ghost-bug. This bug is capable of becoming transparent. While it is clear, you are incapable of hitting it, and it is incapable of hitting you as well! When it becomes solid again, be sure to thwack it! It will take a few hits, So be ready to jump when it tries to land...
In level five, you will see a LOT of Floating bugs. There is no easy way I know to get past these hordes of bugs, other than either jumping frequently and swinging frantically, or staying on the ground and letting them float off into reality somewhere!
In level five, the Ghost bug jumps and flies normally, until it is directly over you. At that time, it will stop, and drop straight down, much like the "Thwomp" creatures in Super Mario World(TM of Nintendo) It's pretty cute too. Just step aside and THWACK!
For level 6? Oh, nine holes at a time? You're on your own.

Multipliers...

As you will begin to notice, whenever you smash a bug, a number (Usually 'one') appears above his head. As you also may have seen by now, smashing two bugs at once, or jumping on the head of a bug and smashing another before hitting the ground, will increase the score for every second bug. There is a much safer way to get higher numbers rather than 'trying to squash a zillion bugs at once'. That's the wrong way to go about it. No, what you need to do, is to stay in the air. There are some pretty useful and easy tactics for doing this as well.
One way, is to stand in the middle of two holes. Two bugs should come out at once, in a perfect world. Wait a second, and right before they jump, pounce one, jump over to the other, jump back to where the first one was, and another bug should be coming out of that hole. Bounce off of him, and do a flying hammer attack back to the second hole, where a fourth bug should have come out by now.
There are many more tactics, for instance, bouncing off any number of crawling bugs, or waiting for the holes that pour bugs to come out, and doing many flying attacks. My favorite (which you may have to maximize the window to make the game slow enough to pull off) is repeatedly bouncing off of the Boss Bugs, while they are flying through the air. The numbers begin at one, and double with each bug, up to 256, where they start increasing by one, to 257, 258, etc, etc... I was unable to get a PNG screenshot of any numbers higher than 32. I invite you to try.
Tell me about it. =)
The "Undo" Command...
Every so often, you will be nice and busy squishing bugs, and suddenly a flashing icecream cone will float down your screen... This is not bad. It's actually very good.
If you catch it, you get what is commonly known as an "extra life". You can also call it a "one-up". I prefer the term "undo command". It depends on what you prefer I guess. All it is, is another chance to squish more bugs!
