As most of you are aware I'd been planning a trip down to Monkman Park
for a few months now. I had been hoping to include some backcountry
camping as part of the trip, hoping to use this as a bit of a warm-up for
the longer camping trip I'm taking in August, but this just wasn't meant
to be. Just so people know, I will be planning a couple of backcountry
expeditions in Monkman Park and area within the next year, including
a 3-day camping trip to a glacier, and a slightly longer trip to Monkman
Lake. If there's enought out-of-town interest I may even combine these
two expeditions, so that people who need to fly in are able to get an
awesome trip out of the whole deal, instead of having to come a couple
of times... Not that I would mind having people visiting a couple of times. :)
