Will Turner

Will Turner, son of William Turner, also known as Bootstrap Bill, a pirate and part of captain Jack Sparrow's crew.

He was found by miss Elizabeth Swann, daughter of the governor of Port Royal. He almost drowned if our most friendly friend Norrington, who later on became commodore.
Miss Elizabeth found piratesgold around his neck and instead of telling someone, she stole it. And so poor Will grew up as a blacksmith, believing his father was a trader and that they were attacked by pirates. He started to hate pirates, not knowing he was the son of one himself, and that all thanks to miss Swann.

As you can see, I don't like the character of Elizabeth Swann, but that is just my opinion.
We first meet Orlando when he comes to deliver a sword, made for the new commodore Norrington. Will Turner looks quite adorable, a bit shy too. You instantly like him.

Will is indeed a young, shy man. He's deeply in love with Elizabeth Swann, but she's the governorsdaughter and he's just a blacksmith. A love-affair that will never work. But then, the cursed pirates attack Port Royal and kidnap Elizabeth! Will hushes to the rescue.

Honestly, I enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean. It has beautifull shots ( of Orlando, Johnny Dep and off course the caribbean ) but the characters aren't really interesting. This movie is about the action. So Will isn't interesting.

He starts really dull, an unrecognized and unappreciated boy, but you see him grow in the story. He becomes a man.
For example, Jack Sparrow wants to help him and what is Will's thanks? He hits him knock-out with a piece of wood. Bad boy.

While Legolas and Paris have a whole history ( but maybe that's because they were characters from a book too ) Will is kind of a blank book that still needs to be written. But I still enjoyed him!
