My name is Lotus, and I just turned 40! I am a single Mom with a disAbility who believes that Life is a miracle to be celebrated, but even I am having a mid-Life crisis! ;) I decided I wanted to totally re-invent myself, my look. But who can afford plastic surgery, implants, botox, little red Corvettes?! I have long advocated that make-overs need to accomplish a couple of things. They need to make you feel GREAT, and they need to be CHEAP! There is nothing worse than being broke, when Life can be such a challenge. I started from top down, and got a boom-perm in my long golden bottom-length hair. Boy what a wonderful experience that was, and how GREAT it made me feel. That was not exactly cheap, but I wasn't about to spend a virtual fortune on products to care for it either. I highly recommend the John Frieda line; it works just as well as salon type products, and about a tenth the price.

I decided I wanted a whiter smile to show off my positive attitude with, and did miles of research on whiteners. This section coming soon, but you will be shocked to learn how much money we waste on products, when the desired outcome is SO achievable! Then I decided for the first time in my life I was going to give myself a real treat! I was born with plain olde brown eyes. On a good sunny day, I call them auburn or chestnut or fiery when I am mad ;) .. But for the most part, they are darkish brown. I have always wanted Liz Taylor violet eyes! So elegant, so beautiful.. And was it impossible, and how expensive?? As I surfed and surfed and surfed the internet, I actually found non-prescription colored contact lenses! They are a bit more expensive, but so much fun, and when you just want a cosmetic change for a night out on the town, a special date, an important meeting where you want to dazzle, they can be wonderful. I opted to get the whole check up at the Optometrist, and have gotten fittings for several of the most popular colored lenses, and will proceed to share with you my findings as time goes on. For my dark eyes, I needed opaque lenses ( I envy you beautiful bleu eyed folks!) , and there are a few companies that make a colored lens with or without correction for about $20 a pair, and less if you buy a box! The great thing about the internet for buying your lenses is that you can browse the pics and take your time to look, no waiting, no standing in lines, and I have done ALL the work for you, finding the most affordable, and the CHEAPEST prices. Not only on lenses.. But many other health and beauty products to make you feel GREAT!
