The lack of love and reverence individuals have for themselves. What I believe? We were born in a world of sin. According to the word of God a lot of these things are being fufilled . We must began to pray and seek God's ways. We must come to the realization that without God we are nothing and cannot do anything. We have no love for one another and the bible speaks of our love growing less and less for one another. We are only concerned about our own self. The root is sin. money money money money....................... I THINK THAT VOILENCE IN THE WORLD TODAY IS CAUSED BY OTHER PEOPLE BEING JELOUS OF OTHER PEOPLE. I ALSO FEEL THAT VOILENCE IS ALSO CAUSED BY PEOPLE TRYING TO LOOK COOL IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE, AND EVEN BY PLAIN OLD CRAZY PEOPLE. insecurity The fact that Nuclear bombs were invented The root cause of violence would be ignorance. not south park people trying to advance their own power trip the fact that over time, we have become so disconnected from the Source of All that Is (not religion), and therefore have become very disconnected to ourselves and each other. instead of understanding the interdependence that we all have towards each other on this planet, we listen to all that has been passed down from generation to generation about our separateness and take that as "truth" whether it is or not. also materialism/greed, over-consumption, etc. western standards that continue to be imposed on & forced upon other cultures / countries as "the right & only way", lack of sacredness & respect of all life, including: feminine energy as found in Mother Earth & all of her resources, women, children, as well as indigenous peoples who continue trying to preserve their ancient traditions, cultures, and rituals. many of the "problems/issues" require much deeper, more spiritual & wholistic solutions. but this is very difficult because many people are at diffe rent levels, have their own beliefs, perceptions, issues, prejudices towards spirituality (often mixed-up with religion) because of what has been passed down to humanity over time. also labeling i.e. "us vs. them", etc. continues to perpetuate this separateness, when in reality we are all on the same planet & what affects one affects all, either directly or indirectly, no matter how near or far. unfortunately, we may not even realize this because results are not always immediate, it may take generations before we see the effects & by this time the people who were most responsible are already gone, but the children & grandchildren, etc. will feel them and if not aware, may continue doing the very same thing their parents, grandparents, etc. taught them (consciously or unconsciously). for me this is one aspect of karma. also reincarnation helps me to put things in perspective. basically i believe that it requires individual, collective, and planetary healing. human arroga nce is the main problem, especially western human arrogance. when we know our place in the entire Universe, we will know that we are not the only living beings on the planet, and every aspect of life as we know it (technology, economic & other development, housing & other construction, food, etc.) will cease to revolve around human beings, but instead be in harmony with all of creation. as human beings our responsibility continues to be caretakers or stewards of the land and it's inhabitants, including: ALL people, plants, animals, water& creatures, air, etc. but sad to say, we're not doing a very good job, especially the last 100 or so years - when corporations became a big part of american society & profit the priority. it is also important that we look back at history, because patterns continue to be repeated - although time, places, and faces are different. i.e. important for individuals to review life stories to see how far they've come, what influenced them (p ositively/negatively), what changes they need to make or patterns they need to break (individual/familial), etc. in order for complete healing to take place. the same for us collectively. hope this helps. thanks for your time - i could go on and on. fear and pain and greed self interest Greed and jelousy wayne anderson Inate human nature misunderstanding When parents decided to stop discipling their children. Feelings of shame without positive means to alleviate them. One lashes out as a last resort to actively reestablishing one's self-image when one is not aware of alternative means. lack of understanding of others due either to (1) the denial of any responsibility to learn more or (2) just not caring hatred is the root cause of violence. Hatred started back in the day when the KKK ruled and people started hating each other. but without hate there wouldn't be anything really because not everyone can get along!! Thats my answer. It might be wrong cuz I'm not that bright but its what I think. Ignorance, inability to change, and stubborn stand for inflexible tradition. These are three things that create the anger that erupts into violence. Money I think it is the fact children are not supervised as much now. Parents along with other adults are poor role models. lack of morals and one's struggle to take from others regardless of the consequences The chasm of difference in the world between the haves(wealthy-middle class) and the poor provides the fuel for violence/war and lack of love... I think that it's everyone wanting to be selfish and doing things for other people. I aslo think that people don't devote enough time to there families I BELIEVE THE ROOT CAUSE IS IGNORANCE I belive that the root cause of violence in the world today is hatered. There are too many people discriminating, and disliking other for the qualities of the flesh, and not the qualities of the spirit. Ego & Fear BECUASE PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW TO GET ALONG THEY ACT LIKE THEY HATE EACH OTHER The profit motive posited by late capitalist accumulation. The root cause of violence is the warped societies we've developed: people are being raised without connection to nature...without clear cultural guidelines and ethics... without feeling that they have an important, valued place in society...without being taught useful survival and trade skills to contribute to their own wellbeing and that of others. It is my opinion that the root cause of violence in the world today is more than one. Violence is rooted in individual character, improper religious beliefs, selective history and uncoscious, no conscious, and conscious racism. I think the difference in money and the different social groups in schools. money My step-dad You say send it to the fool, so I will. You. You are indeed the fool. Violence only results in more violence. It is true that many great civilizations have been built with violence as their foundations. But in the the end that same violence reappears and brings these civilizations to an end. The result of violence is violence just as the result of your ignorance will be more ignorance. Great men devoted their lives in the attempt to reach peace, who are you to undermine them in a single webpage. They will be remembered for doing great things, what will you be remembered for. I hope not for this. Increase peace. Mainly drugs. I don't think it's as much a racial issue anymore. We're trying to stop something that I don't think can be stopped. They need to make drugs legal and put very high taxes on it and see how it at least slows down. |
