White ash or hickory picked from the stump and milled to Hall specifications. Takes advantage of natural grain strength. Should you want greater flexibility and positive control in turns at top speed, the swivel is the greatest thing ever incorporated into sled making. They give the runners ski action since they tild on edge as you lean into a turn.

All sleds come with full bed, 1'4" plasic runners, and "Sure Grip" tread unless you specify differently. Metal shoes and/or half bed are available on any sled.


The Economy Special: Bolted sled that does not swivel.. Complete and ready to use with standard bridle and brake. Not sanded or varnished ($250). Sanded and varnished ($310). Great sled for the beginner. This sled is so economical, it has started more people into mushing than any other sled.
The Economy Swivel: Bolted, swivels, rawhide on handle bar, complete and ready to use with standard bridle and brake. Not sanded or varnished ($350). Sanded and varnished ($385).
The McCrum Special: This sled is considered out best deal for the novice and the professional. It's bolted with swivel construction, has rawhide on both bows, has ties behind the rear stantion, and a bunchi bridle ($450).
Top Sled: Constructed of the very best wood. Stantions are inserted into aluminum channel (for strength and easy replacement). Swivels, rawhide on both bows, buchi bridle, and aluminum bar brake ($650).

Starvation Model: Top extra light racing sled. It is like the regular top sled but is trimmed down to make it as light as possible and yet have strength down the trail. The bed has only the center board and side rails. It includes Quick Change Runners. The dog bag forms the bed which is not included. The dog bag is an additional cost: Non-ventilated $60.00. Toboggan Sleds

These Toboggan sleds have a lower plastic bed giving you more floatation on heavy trails. It is less top heavy which allows more flexibility in steering. The side stantions and rails keep your load, escpecially a passenger, from falling out. Like the Top Sled it includes the very best wood. The stantions are inserted into aluminum channels (for strength and easy replalcement). It swivels, has rawhide on both bows, includes a bunchi bridle, and has an aluminum bar brake. Comes in three models.
