Having your pitbull puppy Shipped:
except for the cost of shipping in which I'll break down for you later
Shipping is really quite simple for the new owners to be ,
most of all the leg work will come from thebreeder
this is why some breeders get upset when you ask them if they can help you with the shipping by lowering the price of their dog.
The breeder must first get the information from you in regards to the nearest airport best time and day that you'd want your pitbull puppy to be shipped ? , then the breeder will reserve a spot for that day and time frame with the airline, once this is done the breeder will have a flight number to give you. the cost of the flight usually runs from about $170 and up mostly depending on the size of the pitbull puppy being shipped.
Then the breeder will make an appointment to have the puppy taken to the veterinarian
The pitbull puppy must have a clean bill of health in order to receive a letter of acclamation from the veterinarian. Without this letter of acclamation the airline will not allow the breeder to board the puppy for the flight. the cost for this is usually between $20 and $25 for the office visit and another $10 or $15 dollars for the letter of acclamation.
sometime before the flight the breeder must also pick up a new kennel for the pup to be shipped in. this kennel must allow the pitbull puppy to have plenty of room to turn around in and the pup must be able to stand up with out touching the top of the kennel.
the fee for the kennel is usually between $30 an $40 dollars.
The day of the flight the breeder will drive to the airport, the breeder must be at the airport 2 hours in advance to check the puppy in. They have no problem sending the breeder and your pitbull puppy back home if the breeder is late.
Providing everything went well the breeder will then give you a call to let you no that everything went well and that your pup is
on the flight. The total fee for a 8 week old puppy is roughly around $230 to $240
total, this has to be paid to the breeder in advance, however some airlines will let you ship your pitbull puppy C.O.D.
