Today's Tip: the front door of your home is where the majority of chi will enter your home.
To help make the best of all this chi, paint your front door according to the element of the direction it faces.
*Red for south, southwest or northeast
*Blue for north, east, or southeast
*White for west, northwest or north
*Green for east, southeast or south
This will help to create feng shui harmony in your home.

Today's Tip: Plants are powerful agents that are particularly effective at absorbing chi.
They are always good additions in areas with stagnant chi or around electronic equipment that give off negative chi.
If you find yourself low on creativity while working on a project, plants can be used to give you a creative boost.
You must be careful, however, when using plants because ones that die or have dead leaves can emit very bad chi.
If you have a lot of plants, make sure that you cut off the dead leaves often and throw away ones that look sick or have died.

Today's Tip: The placement of televisions in the home is very important to ensuring the proper flow of energy.
Because they exude vibrant, excited chi, they must be placed in an area where this energy will not collect and eventually grow stagnant.
Televisions that are located in the family room are best placed on the west wall.
Those that are located in a bedroom should not be in a direct line with the bed, as it will be damaging to anyone who chooses to watch it while in the bed.
Even if the TV is not in line, it is a good idea to keep it covered with a towel or heavy piece of cloth while you are sleeping.
This will help to block some of the energy it might release even when it is turned off.

Today's Tip: In general, water features used in the home are a good idea.
However, there are certain areas in the home where items such as fountains and fish tanks are not a good idea.
One of these places is in the bedroom.
You'd think that putting a fountain in your bedroom for relaxation purposes would be a good idea, but water that is moving not only disturbs the sleep but will represent financial loss.
And don't think that you can fix this by using still water, as this is a bad idea no matter where you put it. It will become a stagnant collector of chi that is damaging to your well-being.
When you do put items such as fountains in your home, be sure that the water appears to be flowing in, and not out.
This way, you won't be losing beneficial chi.

Today's Tip: If your home suffers from bad Feng Shui, there are many ways that you can remedy the problems using simple and inexpensive methods.
Wind chimes help to speed up and dissolve bad chi, and can be used in front of doors that face other doors.
They are also useful when placed in front of bathroom doors, as it will remove some of the bad chi that comes from the toilet.
Elemental cures are also necessary in areas of the home that lean too much towards one particular element.
Candles are effective for bringing fire into a room, but they can also represent other elements depending on their color.
For example, candles that are wrapped with bamboo shoots are very powerful examples of the wood element and can be effective for removing an excess of the water element.
Objects made of bronze are good for the metal element, while the color brrown is good for the earth element.
Finally, Pa Kua mirrors are powerful deflectors of chi and can be used in areas that are subject to rushes of fast moving, harmful chi.
However, their power is only safe to use in the outdoors.
They are especially useful if your house faces an inauspicious direction, as they can be placed on the front steps to deflect harmful chi that tries to enter the home.

Today's Tip: The animals of people's home often go unnoticed when they Feng Shui their homes, but the truth is that they really have a lot to do with the overall chi of the home.
If you have problems with money, try placing 9 fish (7 red, 2 black) in the wealth and prosperity corner of your homme (refer to your kua number information to find out which are of the home this is).
In general, dogs are very good Feng Shui as they are lively and bring active energy into the home.
When choosing a place for them to sleep, try to pick an area of the house that is usually stagnant in terms of energy.
They will help to excite these areas and make this places more auspicious to work.
Cats, on the otheer hand, are not as good for your Feng Shui.
Overall, they're o.k. for your chi, but some cats have a tendancy to exude negative or particularly relaxed or still chi.
If you are selecting a pet, buy one that appears livley and excited to see you, as they will be more auspicious for your environment.

Today's Tip: The colors of the rooms in your homes are very important in balancing the levels of yin and yang in your home.
In general, yang is the more masculine of the two elements and is represented by warm colors.
Yin is more feminine and is represented by cool colors.
The bedrooms of your home shoould always be painted with vibrant yang colors to give the room a sense of energy.
Rooms that usually receive a higher amount of traffic should be painted with yin colors to downplay the excessive flow of chi that may be coursing through it.
With the proper colors, the rooms in your home will be able to regulate or increase the activity of chi in areas of your home that are either too stagnant or too excited.

Today's Tip: The place where you sit in a room plays a major role in maintaining your reputation and your success at work.
When selecting a chair for your office, or if you have a choice of different chairs to sit in while you are in a room, try to pick one with arms and a tall back.
This way, you will be less vulnerable to potentially damaging chi that might come at you from behind, and you will appear more in charge with a place to put your arms.
When working, remember to keep the back of your chair near a wall.
This will put you in a command position, which will maintain your reputation and make you better suited to handle business deals.
Always be aware of your location in a room and be sure that you are in a command position at all times.

Today's Tip: The placing of the master bedroom in the home is always important whether you are selecting or building a home.
Because this room is usually reserved for the "master" of the house (hence the name), their Feng Shui trickles down to influence everyone else that is living in the home.
As a general rule, bedrooms are supposed to be located in an area of the house that is far away from the front door and relatively near the back of the house.
This is especially important in the master bedroom, as these areas of the home are more secluded and will allow the people who sleep in the room to be more rested and pleasant with the other members of the home.
Also, like any other room, the entrance to the master bedroom should not be located at the end of a long hall, as the chi will reach a damaging speed that can accumulate in the room and harm those inside.
One of the worst things that could happen in the master bedroom is having it placed above the garage.
The cold, stagnant energy that collects there is made worse by the excited, active energy from the car, which will seep up through the floor and make the bedroom a very unstable place.
To combat this, paint a large tree onto the garage door.
The tree should have a large, stable trunk wtih many thriving, healthy leaves that reach a few feet onto the ceiling and many large roots that cover part of the floor.
Also, be sure to use bright colors.
If you are successful, this tree will help to bring more stable earth energy from the ground into the bedroom.

Today's Tip: The ceilings in your home play a key role in your feng shui.
Although vaulted ceilings are beautiful and create the feeling of space, there are NO places in the home where they do not do damage.
They are especially traumatic when used in the bedrooms of couples, as their shape disturbs sleep and will eventually cause a rift in the two people's relationship.
Also, try not to work in rooms with vaulted ceilings, as they are bad for the flow of chi.
Another killer for feng shui is the exposed beam.
These features exert extreme pressure on anyone who happens to be in the room.
Like vaulted ceilings, they disturb sleep, create very inauspicious work environments, and are not good for couple's bedrooms.
If you cannot avoid working or sleeping in a room with a vaulted ceiling or exposed beam, hang a windchime off the beam or on the ceiling.
They will help to relieve some of the pressure caused by these features and will speed up and dissipate the chi that tends to collect there.

Today's Tip: The toilets in your home could literally be flushing the good chi out of the house.
To counter this, try to keep the lid of your toilet closed whenever you are not using it.
Also, fill the bathroom with candles (preferably red ones) and plants to counteract the overabundance of the water element caused by the toilet, sink, shower, and bath.
To have the best feng shui, remove the toilet from the house entirely and fill in the pipes that lead to it with concrete.
Then, change the hinges on the bathroom door so that you can no longer get inside.
As for going to the bathroom, you should figure something out.
If you are building a house and you simply must have a bathroom, try to put it in your six killings direction.
This will help to reduce some of the bad chi there.

If you are thinking about buying a new bed, make sure that it has a headboard and a footboard, and that the headboard is up against a wall.
It should not be beneath a window or positioned to make a triangle with one of the corners in your room, as these are not dominant positions.
Also, be sure that your bed is not directly in front of the door to your bedroom, as the rush of chi coming from it will disturb your sleep.
The ideal position for a bed is one where the person in it can see the door, but they are not directly in front of it.
And one final thing: make sure that there are no mirrors in your bedroom that allow you to see your reflection while you are lying in bed.

Avoid facing inauspicious directions at all costs. You can find out which directions are good for you and which ones are not based upon your Kua Number. To Find your kua number, go to
Kua Calculator. This website will also tell you which directions are good for you. You should always try to be aware of what direction you are facing and should have somewhere else to sit or walk if you find that you will be facing in an inauspicious direction for long periods of time.
If someone you know lives in a place that will require you to drive in a bad direction to reach them, I would consider breaking off your relationship with them. If you suddenly find yourself driving in an inauspicious direction, try going in reverse, or simply turning around and going home.
