The curse of the Suryngai is that they are born unto a strange form that appears to be a crossbreed of mice and/or cats with rabbits.

Each Suryngai can turn into a humanoid/elvish form if it wants, having large eyes, pointy ears, and fairy/butterfly wings of any color. These Fae forms always transform with their race-symbol on their forehead. The Suryngai refer to their birth forms as beast forms, and the humanoid faery ones as the fae form. This fae form is used only in very formal conditions, or when the normal beast form is injured. It changes while injured so it may give its birth form (the beast form) a rest and still walk about freely, even if it was near death in that form.

All Suryngai can fly through self-levitation and self-telekinesis. The Sky Suryngai can also glide due to being born with wings. Their tails are extremely well muscled and vary in length by type, but the tails are boneless; unless the Suryngai use the muscles in their tails to move them, their tails hang like limp ribbon. This trait, however, makes them flexible and able to move in any position and they serve as extremely helpful weapons, as do a Suryngai's retractible feline claws. Strangely enough, the Suryngai do not have noses nor mouths. In order to smell or taste something, they must press their muzzles to the object. By doing so, their muzzle's skin will absorb the 'scent' (enabling it to 'taste' it in some fashion), or teleport the object being 'eaten' into their 'mouths', where highly acidic acids will melt the object and they can then swallow. There is one exception to this- if trying to catch a scent on the air, all the Suryngai has to do is lift its face to the wind. In addition to teleporting food into their mouths, they can teleport air into their mouth to breathe. To speak, Suryngai mainly use their throats and tongues to help pronounce some of the squeaks and chirrups.

The Suryngai were originally the same, spread out throughout the continents, but adapted to each reigon, and so each specific Type has mastered one Element. What are the Types of Suryngai, you ask? Well, following this paragraph is a list of all the different Suryngai, preceded by the chart of relative sizes. The table contains the type and the element it draw from. In addition, the Suryngai worship specific moons, although some can worship two instead of one. To tell which moon they worship, check the background color of their cell. The moons are Gold, Silver, Blue, and Red. Suryngai who worship multiple moons have two colors behind their name. Some types, such as the Plateaus, Lunars, and Solars, have mastered huge Elements and are thus seen as more powerful than other breeds- however, the strength of whatever element a Suryngai employs depends upon itself, not simply based on the element a type draws from. If this had not been true, the weak Types would have been slaughtered by now.
