Angels Overheard: A Love Poem

me
and him
hand in hand;
heart in heart;
oblivious to the world's
harsh way of life.
through dark we soar
unharmed and unaware
but otherwise unimportant
is our goal, to anyone but us.
lonely were our souls before
our eyes lay upon
and love is what the
angels overheard
as we danced across the skies
hand in hand;
heart in heart.
jumping from rock to rock
laughing to the sound of the rushing water
sweetly singing to our ears
we never once lost our gaze
into each others' minds
and read our fates; though similar
and distinct
was the desire for love
was what the
angels overheard.
lovely was the image
seen by those above
with our
hearts in hearts,
souls in souls,
minds and bodies,
were granted
for simply what wonderful
lives we shared,
blessed with a beautiful
person like you.
