Character Description:

Ukyo Kuonji is the "cute fiance" and childhood friend of everyone's favorite girl/boy changing martial artist, Ranma Saotome. Being raised by only her father, she was rather a tomboy at the time she met Ranma and his father Genma. The two became close friends, allt he while Ranma was oblivious to her true gender. As Ranma adn Genma were about to depart, continuing their training mission, Ukyo's father begged Genma to take her with them and betrothing her to Ranma, giving him their okonomiyaki cart (Japanese pizza, Ukyo's specialty) as her dowry. Agreed, Genma ran off - but leaving Ukyo behind.

Ukyo returns, and in a vengeful battle, Ranma discovers that - oops - Ukyo really is a girl, and all grudges are dropped. Ukyo now maintains "Uuchan's" (also Ranma's childhood nickname for her) an okonomiyaki shop. Most would say she is the kindest and most tolerable of all Ranma's fiances.






Commentary:
Ukyo is my ultimate number one of all time favorite anime character! XP But I actually never thought to cosplay her, since her costume didn't strike me as exciting. ^-^;; But when my brother thought of cosplaying Ranma for SDCC, and that we could put together a whole slew of Ranma characters, I decided to go ahead and do it. This actually ended up not happening. ^-^;;
