The college group volunteered at Relay for Life in Winter Park on April 11-12. We ended up helping out with the survivor tent, handing out shirts to those that have survived cancer, and some cake. There were 4 sheet cakes, and by the time most of the survivors came by, there were still 3 and a half cakes left! Soooo... we started a campaign of free cake to anyone!! Cheerleading, screaming, silly skits, whatever we could think of. By the end of the night we were running slices of cake to the different sites. Finally, at 11:30pm, our mission was accomplished and we had nothing else to do, so we left. Good times were had by all who were there!! total people count: me, Brandon Ragan, Laura, Reagan, Kristine, Ashley, Jenica, Brad, Jeremy (Brad's friend), Kim and Kim's friend (i didn't catch her name) = 12 people. hooray!!
Note: since it was dark, some of the pictures came out very dark. I tweaked them in photoshop so that you could see what was going on, but that's why a lot of them look a bit grainy now.
