I.
Darkness falls

   with the sun

Sometimes I wonder...

Does night dwell

   in us all?

II.
Stars pierce

the black fabric

   like glittering bullets...

Who shoots them at us?

III.
Sunlight dawns

   banishing night

      with shining fury -

May our light shine so

IV.
Shatter the heavens

   with your defiance -

But do so

   of your free will.

V.
All that blue freedom

   echoes in the heart -

Let yourself go,

   and be free.

VI.
Lonely hearts cry

   for anything

   to quiet the heart's

   deafening silence.

VII.
Light streams across

   the open spaces and

      fills the empty places

         within.

VIII.
Dew drops drip,

   dripping daintily down;

Dew drips, dropping

   into the dark.

IX.
Friendship is

   the way a dog sits,

watching a kitten

   stalk him like prey.

X.
The leaves fall...

brown and red, they

drift into a path

of their own making.

XI.
Buildings rise, like people

   to crowd the earth...

People fall

   but cities stay.
