After nearly a year, I am finally getting round to updating this page. I am doing this with help from the visitors to this site. I have sent a request out to all those who are interested in the diesel section of the workshop manual to send me certain details about their insurance, all 54 of them. On this page you will see the amount of you that were able to supply this information.

I have recently been attempting to renew my insurance for December and was dismayed by the changes made to the fully comprehensive policy I had with Bell Direct. Perhaps I am a little spoilt but my opinion of benefits for a fully comp policy include legal cover and a hire vehicle in the event of an accident but these have been classed as extras. I am now expected to pay an additional £45 for these benefits.

My renewal with Bell Direct came to a total of £622 but I was swayed my a visitor to this site, Wayne, to try Tesco Direct. I had viewed their site and found Masterace Surf not on their list of vehicles so hadn't bothered. The lovely woman that took my call checked with the underwriters there and then to see if they could cover my vehicle after asking about the seats and engine size. The answer was 'yes' and the quote was an incredible £425, virtually £200 cheaper, can you guess who I'm insured with ? ? ? ? ? ?
