Tasks Page
Let me introduce you to the latest pages on the site known as task pages.
I am not a very mechanically minded person by any means but I don't mind doing a little bit
of work on the van if there are instructions I can follow clearly and the tools necessary
to complete the task are fairly basic.
I believe these set of pages will be the hardest to get going as many of
us, although our intentions may be good, just want to get on with the tasks and not have to
think about how we are doing it or take pictures of the progress.
I have alway thought that with the number of owners that regularly take
part in the message board, our experience is our most important asset. The main problem
with that is how to broadcast our experiences to a larger group, not just when they ask for
it but make it available at all times as an online manual. I know many of you have got a copy
of the RM025E manual but I sometimes feel manuals don't tell the true picture of the
tasks or of how difficult they can be to the novice.
I have kicked things off with 3 tasks I have completed but am really
hoping that I get some participation from you other auto DIY merchants out there. I don't
care how basic the job is, from changing a head lamp bulb to a head gasket, I want them
all. Really your task should include some pictures for people to follow the procedures
and I would like to see the vehicle model numbers included, as many of you know the large
number of differences from each one.
