THE LATE, GREAT SIN

Before entering into the study of The Divine message to us, we must be under the influence of our Mentor, The Person of God who teaches us, and by whom we grasp spiritual phenomena, God The Holy Spirit. To worship God we must do it "in Spirit, and in truth (The Word)".

But some reading this may be "carnal", or without The Spirit, which is easily amended. IJn 1:9 is the "purification verse"; "If we cite our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us of all wrong doing (unknown sin)." Instantaneously we are filled with The Holy Spirit and ready to glean from The Word.

With all the uproar over sin you'd think that they were still an issue with God!

The issue of sin is settled, over, kaput! There are some negative effects of sin that are very painful and destructive, but sin, as such, is not a source of punishment. Let me explain;

Ofcourse, Jesus Christ "bore our sins in His own Body on the Tree", and His sacrifice put to rest the matter of divine punishment. Other aspects of salvation deal with the wonderful results of Christ's work, such as our marvelous eternal life, but as to sin, God the Father, acting as Supreme Judge, laid the full lash across the back of Christ, and His Justice is satisfied with The Lamb's sacrifice.

Vastly populated Christian denominations, with millions of members, don't know this simplest of doctrines. Their ministers use the congregation's ignorance of sin to hold sway over them, threaten them with the impending wrath of God (so they say), and further claim to be the only authorized go-between with God, so you damned well better cough up some bread, brother Smith! Say your hail Marys and come around to the toll booth next time you have a juicy sin to share!

You know who I'm talking about! And hey! If you take exception to my critical words, get bent! It is you, Oh Misguided Christian, who has subordinated himself to some voodo, gimmicky bullcrap religion! I'm just calling the game from the sidelines, and you are out of bounds!

For all such ilk, as above, who meander over my way, and somehow fail to be insulted down to their toenails on the homepage, I've got some very exciting news;

You are a priest! And not a priest only, but a Royal Priest! At the moment of salvation you were given a priesthood that is unique in all of history;

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a [unique] people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:" (2Pet 2:9)

"And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (Rev 1:6)

"And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." (Rev 5:10)

"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Rev 20:6)

These verses are but a sampling of the verses which deal with this subject. It bears mentioning that the rulership in these passages refers to winner believers, for lack of a better designation, or Christians that attain spiritual maturity in this life (see the section The High Ground - Pleroma).

No matter how sweet and pious some man of the cloth may be, my brethren, they have sold out to the opposition if they fail to tell you the truth about your great stature as a Christian, your priesthood and Royal blood. 39 irrevocable gifts were given each of us at salvation, and those are everlasting blessings. Amoung them, our adoption as royal sons, our equal share in the heirship of Christ (we are co-heirs to the wealth of the universe!), our unique spiritual life, and many, many other fantastic things!

Every Christian is responsible to expose himself to sound Bible teaching, whence we grow in the knowledge of God as He designed it. Only then, as the divine values which are the latent power of The Word replace our cosmic ones, do we experience the "lifting" of our spirit to another level, a higher spiritual plane.

That's not "airplane", which bears pointing out, because we can't book passage on any conveyance of our device to reach this attainment. Like salvation, it is exclusively the grace and power of God at work. Just as we are given redemption, completely apart from our own works, so we are lifted to a higher plateau in this life by the power of God.

But I stray too far from the subject at hand; Sin.

So what is the scoop about sin? Everyone knows we all sin, and if you figure you don't, you are far too pious to be reading the likes of me, El Corrupto!

Sin can still hurt us, even with it's inactive status where punishment is concerned. So, if Christ did defray the angst of The Almighty, why do we still feel the sting of sin?

Technically, it isn't our sin that results in suffering. Rather, sin interrupts the connection between us and God, that "umbelical chord" from heaven that penetrates time and nourishes us all our lives as Christians. Or at least that's what it is designed to do! Tragically, millions of Christians aren't even plugged in to the source of Manna!

This link is new to mankind, relatively speaking, because it only began with the cross. It's labelled "The Filling of God the Holy Spirit". This is the centerpiece of our spiritual life, God the Spirit, from whence all things flow out to us.

"I Indeed Have Baptized You With Water: But He Shall Baptize You With The Holy Spirit." (Mark 1:8)

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit." (Rom 15;13)

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen." (2Cor 13:14)

Our "communion" with The Spirit is an interface with God.

"Whereof the Holy Spirit also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before," (Heb 10:15)

As a "witness", The Spirit is the divine member of the Trinity that teaches us spiritual information.

"But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit," ()Jude 1:20

Our communion, or oneness with God, is the basis for our effective prayers.

"And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." (Eph 4:30)

God cannot have contact with sin, even though it has been judged. When we sin, The Spirit is forced from our soul. "Grieve" here alludes to "holding the Holy Spirit at bay" with unattended sin in our soul. In this state we are "carnal" or "fleshly", as opposed to the state of "spirituality" when we are filled with The Spirit.

Read the section Rebound for more details.

Filling and Endwelling
"That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Spirit which dwelleth in us." (2Tim 1:14)

Not to confuse, but The Spirit has two ministries to us, that above is the "filling" and involves the soul, and there is the "endwelling" which involves the body. The latter is stated to be for the purpose of creating in our flesh a temple for the endwelling Christ. But we won't go into exhaustive detail in either of these doctrines at this time.

The Source of Our Punishment

There are two broad areas which invite both divine discipline and self-induced suffering; "Wrong doing" and "human good". Niether of these were retired by the work of Christ, as His purpose was to divert eternal judgement for sin unto Himself. For the time we remain in this flesh as Christians we must grapple with the remaining two sources of punishment. Ofcourse, the good news is, both are encapsulated in time and will end, as an obstacle in our lives, when we die.

Wrong Doing

The next to the last verse, above, which warns us not to "grieve" The Holy Spirit, is one of the principal categories of wrong doing. There are several other high profile categories, such as Christian activism, involved. But much of wrong doing is unknown, not recognized as a sin by the individual. In fact, human good is technically a branch of wrong doing, but it is so prevalent in this world that I have designated it a second echelon.

As for documentation; I will forego a large number of verses, and there are dozens, and focus on the primary verse for managing "wrong doing" and preventing it from screwing up our lives; 1John 1:9. You may have noticed, this verse is displayed at the top of this page, and is the primary focus on the "Rebound" link, above.

But this is critical to you and me! So I will spell this out in detail.

"If we cite our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us of all wrong doing (unknown sin)."

Note the two separate functions of divine Justice in this verse. I have highlighted them in green and red to clarify. Both of them result from "cite" (admit, name, state). The forgiveness of sins is a foregone conclusion, as defined earlier on this page. Christ took care of sin, and forgiveness in this verse is a recognition of that fact.

But "purification" of "wrong doing" are set apart as an exclusive process. Why?

In effect the forgiveness in the rebound verse is a direct way of saying; "Throw the case out! Precedence; Double Jeopardy...sins are already judged and punishment carried out!".

Then we move down the line to "purify". Now we're dealing with a case-by-case decision by God involving our actions which requires His Justice to act. The crime, "wrong doing". The decision of The Court is to remove the guilt of the transgression, but punishment may result.

The discipline we get for wrong doing is a complex matter that I cover in "Rebound", so I will deal more with the overview in this context, that being the result of purification in our lives.

God's purpose for removing the stain of wrong doing from our souls is to restore the Holy Spirit to us, re-establish communion with Him, and enable the system we are provided for learning about God and applying that knowledge to the mundane circumstances of life.

Refer to the The Filling of The Holy Spirit for more details in this area.

It is an inevitable consequence of our residence in Satan's kingdom that we will be sucked into His ingenius plots to discredit God and, thus, aid him in his quest for victory in the Angelic Conflict. God is aware that the devil's powers of deception are formidable, by reason of his vast intellect. The evidence of Lucifer's effectiveness is everywhere, but as regards Christianity, he has put in motion many diabolical schemes to distract us and render us casualties in this prehistoric conflagration.

Christians are the target of Satan's grandest machinations, for we are the designated "witnesses" for the prosecution of his crimes in The High Court of Heaven, acting High Judge; God the Father. As such, we pose the greatest threat to Satan, for God will prove in our lives that Satan's claims are false, groundless.

Sins are usually easy to recognize, but wrong doing is many times obscure, subtle, and hidden behind an outer shell of good, and even Biblical truth. Satan runs a no-holds-barred campaign, and he knows the Bible from cover to cover! Many of his most destructive plots have lured millions into his snare by dangling the carrot of scripture or apparent good. On this very day millions of believers and unbelievers are working feverishly in Satan's camp.

A primary cause of human miscalculation, and entering into wrong doing, is their ignorance of Satan and his objectives. Most people don't even hesitate before they contribute to a charity, or support environmental policies of government, or engage in public displays that oppose what they believe to be great evils. Abortion, capitol punishment, war, environmentalism, socialism, civil rights, gun control, etc. All of these issues have been carefully formatted to appeal to Christians as well as non-Christians. They fly the banners of "saving lives" and "saving the earth". Who can argue against these activites?

The person who has The Word in their soul and knows the issues involved, that's who!

Every crusade sponsored by Satan has the appearance of good. This policy stems from the fact that Satan is striving to out do God! His own statement at the time of his fall points to this reality.

"For thou (Satan) hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the [angels] of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north" (Isa 14:13)

God reavealed Satan's "good" objectives, as early as The Garden, when He named the forbidden tree "Knowledge of God and Evil". Please note that this is Satan's good! These words are synonyms! Good and evil are of the same malevolent source, the devil himself! Had this tree been named for opposite values it would have been named "Good vs Evil", or some equivalent designation.

There is also the evidence supporting this assumption, to wit; Adam and the woman already had knowledge of divine good! Based upon the principle that we must not confuse God with the inane, illogical, superfluous, or absurd; We know the name of the tree alluded to the satanic imitation, not intrinsic divine good.

It would be illogical for God to prohibit a creature from doing something when they are already doing it under His policy elsewhere. Good is a divine providence, an element present in learning The Word, and applying it, as well as the actions of God which function without the incursion of human volition. The Son appeared to our original parents as a "theophany", or some recognizable form that could be identified as God. Every day The Son walked with them in the evening and instructed them in the same principles that are embedded in the Bible. The wealth of details and historical events had not yet happened, obviously, but The Word is eternal, and they learned divine viewpoint as we do.

The point is that the "good" of the tree was an unknown to Adam and the woman. It's interesting that the first notable arrangement that man implemented, after leaning what good and evil were, was an act of "good"! They did a moral thing, something that reflected the sense of decorum that replaced their former innocence. They hung leaves over their privates. This was the first recorded human act of self-righteousness.

The "leaf law" introduces yet another player into the spiritual life of each believer; The "old sin nature", also called "flesh" and "old man". Adam and Eve initiated the leaf law, not Satan. I'm sure he applauded it, but he did not come up with the "law". Man's sin nature is a powerful presence in his body, occupying every cell. It is the curse of spiritual death, the reason we are born dead to God and must be saved, and the source of temptation from within. Every man has been goaded into sin by their own vulnerable state of mind, and the working of the sin nature.

Human good, which originates in the sin nature, works in tandem with satanic good in this world. But there is an interesting twist to the sin nature. You see, in Satan's successful ploy that brought down Man as the Ruler of Earth, he didn't count on one variable; the sin nature of man. It never occured to Lucifer that a scenario would emerge that he could not manage. But one did; The old sin nature.

Remember, Satan's first objective is to duplicate God's good, and with it the environment of God's Kingdom. This is his "election platform" that won over so many millions of angels; One third of the heavenly population. He promised a better world than God's! But! One huge rock landed in the middle of Satan's road to supremacy; He discovered that the second species of creatures, homosapien, also had a volition, and he could not control the flow of history to his satisfaction.

Remembering that King Satan endorses good, he naturally applauds the laudable efforts of man, and human self righteousness produces a ton of "good", but the preponderance of man's activities are contrary to this whitewash. Man is violent, corrupt, depraved, in much he does.

Well, being a creature of incredible genius, and possessing impressive powers, he is a brilliant tactician. The temporary set back of man's unpredictable nature didn't even slow the super angel down one smidgen! Plan "B". He has incorporated his echelons of advance with man's erratic behavior. How does he do this? Simple, he controls corrupt humans the same way he controls pious ones; By customizing an irrestistable system of rewards and promotion that appeal to the nature of the men involved.

Corrupt men want wealth and power. Satan provides it as motivation to induce their volitions to pursue a course of action which serves his design. He uses every element at his disposal to attain his objectives. One the one hand, a vigorous environmental thrust in this country, and on the other, a ruthless dictator in Libya or elsewhere. Whether by "friendly persuasion", or the barrel of a gun, Satan is relentless to evolve his scheme of things.

There is a bedrock criteria which reveals evil and satanic or human good, several tenets that rest upon the provision of divine establishment to the human race. This establishment has pretty much the same connotation that we place on it. Unlike Satan, God had foreknowledge of our existence. He was aware of the excesses that would charactarize human behavior, and to inject some measure of stability into our realm, He ordained the institutions of establishment.

Note; These institutions do not enjoy the exclusive status of a local church, for they are vulnerable to Satan's wiles, however, God has fashioned them to provide a superstructure where His will regarding all of mankind can have an impact. That will, in a word, is "Freedom".

Freedom is a provision of God to all men, and the institutions are intended to serve all humanity. The fact that they utterly fail at times bears out my recent statement that they are vulnerable to Satan's influence. Government, law, law enforcment, free enterprise and the miltiary are the components of God's "Operation Freedom". With the right convictions, and some help from heaven, freedom can thrive on earth, and these istitutions contribute to that end. Even "bad" men in a good system of establishment cannot blunt its' impact.

Ofcourse, the underlying principle for the reign of freedom, is the highest divine priority; Saving human souls. Only in a free society can the gospel of salvation be openly declared. A nation blessed by freedom is also responsible to God to venture out into the world and evangelize. That is, the Christian element are responsible.

I won't elucidate the many deceptions that exist in the Cosmos Diabolicus. At some point, reading my own words, I sound like some militia guy or something! A wierdo on the fringe. But the fact is, we exist in Satan's realm, and He is all powerful where this sewer is concerned. Only one institution I can think of is free of Satan's involvement, and that is the local church. This is a divine "embassy", and is an extention of heaven.

The facts overwhelm the senses, defy everything we have ever learned about anything. Not that the facts oppose the principles involved in life, but they reveal a hidden dimension, an undercurrent that embraces every tiny edifice on earth.

This information was one of the most dramatic and complicated issues I had to come to grips with as a baby Christian. I had learned to endorse so many satanic echelons of good, and support them with conviction!

The litmus test I alluded to earlier, the ability to discern between propriety and evil, involves freedom. Evil always attacks freedom. Freedom is divine territory, tyranny and legalism are Satan's stomping grounds. Satan cannot hold sway where men employ the right principles of government and society. In order to be victorious, Satan must control every feature of his realm, every nation, every soul. That necessity points back to the volitile nature of man. To keep the lid on Satan must intimidate.

You will recall that I mentioned that evil, which I will expand to include all "good" of the cosmos, always masquerades behind a mask of the noble, the loving, the merciful. Saving lives is a favorite crusade, and always attacks freedom. Anti smoking, gun control, seat belts...these are issues that are popular. They all require the supression of free will.

Environmentalism is the greatest threat to our freedom, but I won't expand at this time. The nobility of saving animals, the logic of preserving our natural treasures, are designed to be irresistable. They appeal to human good. They each employ a veil of truth, but evil is lurking in the shadows. Do you suppose Satan cares about the redwoods? Hell no! He cares about neutralizing human freedom! For all he cares, humanity can disapear tomorrow. But we are the battlegound between the power of Good and his evil, parameters which God has stipulated in Satan's appeal trial, so the devil must use us as his instruments, just as God must, to affect his will.

I know, most (if not all) of the people who visit here probably have strong convictions toward one or another of the examples of evil I have mentioned. Many support all of them. Well Christian, you have a volition, and you have a solumn responsibility to God. He has provided the right information, and all the logic you require, to inform you of the situation. What you do about it is your call. Go eith your emotions, and the overwhelming popularity of these issues, and the politically correct stance; Or go with the divine design.

Freedom is a must, not for our individual comfort, which is a desirable side benefit, but for the impact of divine grace on the peoples of the earth. Whether you know it or not, you have been inducted into God's army, issued the orders to represent Him in the angelic war, and given the weapons to win the battle. There will be a moment, at the Evaluation Throne of Christ, when you will face the reality of your service in this life.

I tell my kids that life is simple; It has one central theme; The battle between Good and evil. Strip away all the subtrafuge, all the window dressing, and it comes down to this. There are two sides, and no middle ground. A person is under the influence of one side or the other every second of their life. Those that declare neutrality are of the enemy, for doing nothing is tantamount to running from the fight, deserting their post. The hard part is seeing what is really there, what's under the attractive surface. Be prepared to find things that will trouble you. They will be things that you have been involved in.

What you do when you are faced with the truth will determine your frame of mind as you stand facing Jesus Christ on that future day. Either you will be rejoicing at the wealth of generous gifts the Father has set aside for you, or you will be shamed. Your time on this earth was treason to God and His plan. You won't lose your salvation, but you will lose glory.

With this certain destinty in mind, consider what crusades you support, and the road you will take. The expedient way is to go along with evil, make no waves, stay popular with you friends, utter the politically correct drivel...or take a stand on God's territory. You needn't stand up and start acting like an idiot. The spiritual life is lived in obscurity, and the fight is fought in the shadows, in the form of your thinking. In effect, thinking the divine viewpoint is casting a vote in God's ballot box. When the box is near empty, a nation dissolves into ashes. Freedom is completely lost.

Those millions of decisions supporting, say gun control, are millions of counts against this nation in The High Court. Our sovereignty and freedom hang in the balance. The fact that issues appear to be worthy is a deception. Perhaps the men involved are true blue, but the sponsor of these ideas is a dread enemy of humanity. His objective is to ensalve us under his heel, and once the war with heaven is won, destroy us! We are an annoyance to the devil, a lowly creature far beneath his magnificence, and quite disposable. Think of this next time you read an article about a business, or an entire industry, going down before the juggernaut of environmenal evil. Weigh this fact against the propriety of government meddling in our lives. In the short run, they produce the appearanceof benfit, but they are the poison that will kill America. Each tiny shred of freedom we lose moves us closer to the future we have begged for.

We can look back then, remembering our stupidity, but that wisdom will come to late. We kicked millions of smokers outside! Made them to feel like second class citizens for the priviledge of exercising their free will. We looted an industry, in tobbaco, of billions of dollars to compound the evil of this policy. But us non-smokers loved every minute of it! We reveled in seeing those crud ball smokers standing in the rain to indulge in their filthy habit. No longer would us non-smokers have to smell the stench of their cigarettes. And, we forced many people to throw off smoking. How can one refuse so worthy a cause?

Right! How terribly shallow man is. How tragically stupid. He moseys along looking at the ground, oblivious that a vast plan is unfolding in his own life. Unconcerned that the endless stretch of eternity is before him, and the lifestyle he will enjoy there is settled right here, in this dingy toilet called Planet Earth.

Final Judgement

Surprisingly, the fate of unbelievers will be sealed not by their sins, but their lack of two things that are essential in living with God forever; Righteousness and Eternal Life. The damned will have niether of these, because they are given at the moment of salvation, and they never underwent that exquisite transformation. All they will have to offer is their good deeds, the working of human good. This is why they are judged from the "Book of Works" in Revelation.

No sin will be mentioned at the Last Judgement, for the issue of sins has been settled. Christ will be on The Great White Throne to make permanent disposition of all unsaved creatures, angel and human. Not one creature will be there that did not know the offer of God's Love, His offer to deliver them. God is a Being of absolute nature, and sooner or later the issue, in God's view, must be disposed of to the satisfaction of his essence. He will have tried every avenue, used his foreknowledge, omnipotence, and all the other attributes in His Person, to persuade them, but they declined. Their terrible destiny is their own choice.

It is an unimaginable idea to us that good people can go to hell, but we do not have the absolute nature of God. We are prone to blow it off, live and let live, but not God. Sin amd evil must be put away, forever. It may have occured to some that some bad people will also be in heaven, if the criteria is open ended, attained simply by faith in Christ.

This is so, in fact, even if the most heinous criminal in history, say Joe Stalin, believed in Christ he will be in heaven. This is the grace of God, His perfect Justice. Were the addmitance to heaven our good deeds, few would be the residents. But all of us, even the worst, will be purified of corruption and put on an incorruptable and immortal body.
